Drama Class Method

The classes will be made up of ten and nine week terms, with the last week of term being a performance for parents. Each term we will have a different theme which our end of term performance will be based on. The theme will be incorporated into the warm ups and exercises to give consistency.

Each lesson will be planned in advance, starting with a few warm up games then concentrating on different exercises. Each term we will focus the exercises on a different component of drama, e.g. one term might be mime, another on improvisation and another on emotions. We will then spend the final half of the class working on and rehearsing our end of term performance. Each term we will change the style of the piece e.g. one term may be a scripted piece, another may be improvised and then we may do a piece made up of small sketches etc.

The classes have been split into various age groups and the complexity and level of the class will reflect this.
